Liked the ants at Borde Blanche by Montbel, but puzzled that I could not find the mantis - has somebody stolen it, like your website? Not visible on Google Earth, but the heart-shaped path that presumably predates the exhibit is.

I love your work. The "Less is More" and "Harmony" are my favorites. Thank you for including the tutorial on sculpture in your page. I hope to try sculpture in clay sometime this summer. I currently paint in Acrylics and have done a few in oils.

    Hi David,
Was surfing on an artist blog and read an article about you. How surprise I was when I recognize some of your sculpture .... Saw some of them in 2008, Chemin sculptural, Massif des Corbières. Loved them! Took photos of them! I did not know your name then. Love your work! If I could (problem with spave in my atelier and home) I will do only big outdoor sculpture. I will know go to your FB page.

i found your website difficult to navigate, I wanted to see what you have available and while a couple of things were to be viewed certainly not like in a selling framework. I respectfully suggest you put up as much as you can with sizes, prices, etc. I am not quite sure where you got my email address although my wife and I do collect (on a very small scale) contemporary art. We wish you much success and thanks for the warning re Yahoo and your web domain

just like you I'm attracted to metal but I could not bring myself to choose!
Very nice work and messages interressants ... with insects, our fears are exacerbated fobies. art is sometimes very inquietant!

Simply beautiful, your wonderful sculptures reason, I also have a passion for old metal abandoned, recovered and manipulated to revive it through a work that exploits its bumps, scratches ... its beautiful like wrinkles of an old Indian . Even if I do not have your talent, I really feel your passion. Bravo, I admire.

Dear David, I have been fascinated by your ants and mantis in the meadow near Chalabre - Ispend at least one/two months a year with my friend there. I have long wanted to know more about your work - I have photos of the ants but taken at a distance, because I did not like to trespass. I was so pleased when you put your sign up and I could at last know who you were. I shall be in Chalabre in June, I would love to be allowed to photograph your ants properly - I don't think I can afford to buy one! Your work speaks to me - thank you for that, it is rare.
Best regards, much success - not in the world's eyes, but in your own satisfaction with what you have created.

First of all, I think its great you have a guest book! I was searching for honey bee sculpture and came across your large bee. I love the wrapped wire form that you created...from skinny little wire. I think it is much more dynamic and interactive this way. I am a metalsmith from minneapolis, Minnesota USA. Thank you for being yourself, and sharing your workplay with the world I wish you well Hans

I have just returned from a vacation on the domain l'Espinet in Quillan. I admired your beautiful sculpture of a praying mantis.
We also did the walk in Mayrolles and were pleasantly surprised by the other images.
On the way back from the market in Mirepoix we visited your house, but at that time there was no one there.
We are already long been looking for a small sculpture of an insect (as there are some in your garden and especially to the port to see)
Is it possible to give the price of these sculptures
I noticed on the website that there is an art route Koksijde.
This we will definitely visit again.
Continued success with your wonderful work.

Dear Mr Vanorbeek, my class have been so inspired by your work, we decided to fashion our own insects using pieces of coloured recycled wire and any beads we could find. We would love to send you pictures of our work if you could possibly let us know where would be best to send our pictures too. I do have a facebook account, so could send them via that if you wish. Thank-you for being such an amazing inspiration, the children have loved looking at all the clips of your work, and were all so thoroughly impressed! In their words.. "You rock!"

photograph of the artwork is impressive. Do you know that the great sculptors themselves do not work, but let artisans sculpt according instructies.Nu provided by the artist your work is so large you may also need to think in that direction.
